The Law Amending the Gambling Law
(The State Law and Order Restoration Council Law No. 14/90)
The 8th Waxing Day of Waso, 1352 M.E.
(29th June, 1990)

The State Law and Order Restoration Council hereby enacts the following Law:-
1. This Law shall be called the Law Amending the Gambling Law.

2. Section 4 sub-section (c) of the Gambling Law shall be substituted by the following sub-section:- "(c) The Township Superintendent of Police or any Police Office directly controlling him, and the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department or the Deputy Director or the Superintendent of Police (Crime) or the Police Officer performing the duties of the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department and the Director of the Special Intelligence Department or the Deputy Director or the Police Officer performing the duties of the Director Of the Special Intelligence Department or the Superintendent of Police (Internal Affairs Branch) in direct control of area supervisors of the Special Intelligence Department in Yangon Division or the Deputy Director (Upper Myanmar Special Intelligence Branch, Mandalay) or Deputy Superintendent of Police as officer-in-charge of the respective State and Division Special Intelligence Department may issue warrant to the Police Officer not below the rank of Sub-Inspector of Police of the respective Departments to cause to enter, search the gambling house and make arrest."
