The Law Amending the Canal Act
(The State Peace and Development Council Law No. 1/98)
The 13th Waxing Day of Tabodwe, 1359 M.E.
(9th February, 1998)

The State Peace and Development Council hereby enacts the following Law

1. This Law shall be called the Law Amending the Canal Act.

2. In section 75 of the Canal Act. the expression " not exceeding five hundred kyats, or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to both "shall be substituted by the expression not exceeding twenty thousand kyats or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both."
