The State Law and Order Restoration
Council hereby enacts the following Law:-
1. This Law shall
be called the Law Amending the Myanmar Wireless
Telegraphy Act.
2. Sub-section
(1) of Section 6 of the Myanmar Wireless Telegraphy
Act shall be substituted by the following sub-section
-
(1) Whoever possesses any wireless telegraphy
apparatus in contravention of the provisions of Section
3 shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which
may extend to three years or with fine which may extend
to Kyats 30,000 or with both.
3. In sub-section
(3) of Section 10 of the Myanmar Wireless Telegraphy
Act the expression "one hundred rupees"
shall be substituted by the expression "five
thousand kyats".
